My daily routine: I`m not the kind of person that`s in our studio before opening hours. I`m the one that stays until security kicks me out. Luckily my group is very much like me this way.

My strength in 3D lies withing modeling environment and post production. I am no animator or rigger, I know how to animated, luckily theres people in this world doing better then me.

My plan with this education is (hopefully) becoming an VFX artist and art director. Looking at work from artist like Marek Denko and Peter Sanitra from NoEmotion studio is trully inspiring. www.noemotion.net
They both started working as freelancers but soon found out that they could do even better together. So they started noemotion studio.

They do every thing from 3D stills to Visual FX on real life footage, and they do it beautifully!

So if I am where they are some day I´l bee satisfied ;)

Thought I should write a little about the the group and my own work flow. Starting this project we didn't think to much about the work flow other then dividing assignments roughly. It didn't take much time to figure out that we had to specify the work more directly.
So me and Mathias Haug continued the way we started, modeling environment and textured all the scenes. Lot of our work was scraped mid through the proses due to a different approach on the film.
So we made the changes that need to bee done and the result is looking really good.

Frank was sett to modeling all the characters in the film, when we remade the film we where down to one character.
Bjørn started modeling an important assets of the film, witch is the crow. He made a complicated rig, and therefor he had to animate it himself. But the end result is superb.
Eivind and me did most of the planning, I resigned mid trough the proses due to all the modeling that we had to do. He has also been the lead animator of the group since that is his strong side.

My own work flow has been variable, should probably finish one scene completely before starting on a new one. Worked on multiple scenes at one time, we got a lot of models going quick but I`m sure it would be quicker to take one scene at the time.

The pipeline of the group was redone mid trough the film ass i said, and I´m glad it was. It`s much better to divide responsibilities this way. Mathias and me has been answering to each other, and making sure the group isn't unsattisfied with the result. This way we decided the style of the film(art directores) witch is a great jobb.

So for my next project this pipeline will definitely be incorporated.

The Church is starting to look the way I want it to. A litle bit of texturing left befor it`s all done. Her`s an update in texturing and lighting. My vision is a bit different, want it to be around sunsett when we "shoot" the movie.

Our group has been functioning well lately, me and Mathias have a deadline on most of the texturing today and tomorrow. Not shure we are there yet, but it`s gone bee a long day ;)

Hi, our group had some problem midt stage in the project, things didnt go the way the we wanted them to.
So we sat down and discussed the options, after a few hours of discussion we ended upp going back to the starting point. It all stareted out with one kid in our story and we chose to back to it.

Right now im the "art director" of the project, and I`m "in charge" of how to style is. With me I have Mathias Haug, we`we been modelling the past week and are now starting with the texturing. So I sat down today and started looking at my moddels trying to figure out where to begin. I had to go back to the start, turns out I don`t know much about rendering in V-ray. So right now I`m searching the "world wide web" for tutorials on V-ray rendering. Lucky for me thers lot`s of people out there nice enough to post tutorials in it ;)

Personaly I feel the group was struggling for a bit, but after our new aproch where every one has got a more specific role in the group it`s easier to say "NO", it`s not supposed to look like that, "please" redo it :P

Her a test render of the church witch is one of our last scenes. Hoping for this to be a smashing scene when it`s done.

It`s starting to come together. Some 3D shot`s have been made and hoping to start texturing soooooon : D

Got 2 go climbing XD

So, as I said in the reflective journal; our last oblig at school has started and we`re about 3 weeks in now. Bit`s and pieces are falling in place.
Right now we`we got most of the story ready, storyboard is on it`s way  and some models have been made.
Me and Shade are planning the next weeks, and figuring out the last parts of the story (camera angels, camera movements and stuff like that).

The story is very nice, I`l upload the pitch soon.

Our group consists of 6 members, it`s me =) Eivind(Shade), Mathias, Bjørn, Frank and Arne from Island.
Arne is living in/on Island and working there, so it will be interesting working with as we can only contact each other true the "world wide web".
